I saw blood on Nena’s beak. I immediately attended to him. At the point of time, we were getting ready to leave to malacca. Had no choice but to seperate him from the flock and leave him at home.
My friend came over everyday to feed the flock and see how nena was doing. He seem weak but was still eating.
Nena’s previous owner was notified about this accident. They are worried as much as we are but was very understanding.
Eventhough I still feel like it was my fault that this happened. They said “Even if you feel like it’s your fault but everybody can make mistake but just wanna let u know we don’t blame you for this. I know you always take care of all of them and have no ill intentions. 🙏🏻 we are grateful enough that we can find someone to take care of Nena"

Fast Forward 6 days later, We got home from Malacca and brought nena to the vet to get his beak check out. Unfortunately, there was nothing that the vet could have done.
So from the day onwards Nena would depend on me to feed him and check on his wellbeing regularly.

Nena passed 💔
The most brightest and most cheerful among the flock is gone.
Still cant believe that you’re gone. I am so sorry Nena 💔
At least you don't have to suffer anymore, and manage to spend time with us before you go 💔
We will always remember you ❤️❤️
Fly High Handsome ❤️
The amazing thing Nena did before he passed was knocking on the side of the carrier for about 3 times to get my attention.
I carried him out of the carrier.
His eyes open wide as his body weaken.
And I knew he was going.
Having him on my bed while preen his head. We both knew.
He chirp one last time.
Tears started dripping down my chin onto him.
He stopped breathing and thats when I know he's gone.
He took the effort to tell me that he was going, and didn’t want to leave without me by his side. 😭❤️
